Description/Bio:
Niles “Country” Bowman graduated Skowhegan ME area High School in 1979. He joined the U.S. Army right out of high school and spent 10 years serving his country. He worked as a police officer with both Madison PD and the Somerset County Sheriffs Office. “Country” loved the outdoors, making maple syrup every spring, hunting, fishing and camping, even hosting bear hunts with club brothers from other chapters. “Country” received his Colors at a patching ceremony at a Troopers house in Madison ME, December 1993 along with brothers “Rebel” (Central ME) and “Bushman” (Gertz-Meriden CT). He loved to drag his boot heels at night while riding his Harley to watch the sparks fly. He was “OWP” and a loyal and dedicated member of RPMC for a total of 18 years before joining the Forever Chapter. Country went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday June 12th, 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
